Nollywood star Olanrewaju James, alias Baba Ijesha, was sentenced, and Nigerian actress and comedian Princess has commented.
Baba Ijesha was found guilty on Thursday by an Ikeja Special Offenses Court of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old minor.
In a two-hour ruling, Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo found the defendant guilty of sexual assault, attempted sexual assault, and indecent treatment of a child. She gave him a 16-year prison term.
The victim of the sexual assault is the adoptive daughter of Comedienne Princess. After Ijesha was caught on CCTV last year, she revealed his immoral behavior.
The actress responded by claiming that God is not a man and sharing a video of herself praising the decision.
