Eloswag, a housemate on BbNaija’s seventh season, has drawn conflicting opinions after sporting a personalized sweatshirt.
He donned clothing that was personalized with certain words and has recently gained popularity on Nigerian social media as a result of Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.
Obi’s followers coined the term “Obidient” for themselves; it combines the candidate’s name with the command to follow directions.
His followers chose to add the word “Yusful” after he declared Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed as his running mate a few weeks earlier. Be ObiDient and Useful is the slogan they came up with to advertise their candidacy.
Incidentally, the inscription on Eloswag’s hoodie reads; ‘Be Obedient and Useful.’
Though he did not directly use Be ObiDient and Useful, it raised concerns about a possible rule violation because BBNaija housemates are not allowed to openly campaign or declare support for any politician.
