Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, is no longer eligible to be a nominee for the coveted Headies Awards.
The organizers revealed that he was disqualified in a statement issued on Tuesday due to an ongoing criminal investigation and for making threats to “hurt or murder” his fellow nominees.
The organizers claim that Portable’s exclusion is intended to send a clear message that they do not support careless and impolite words.
Remember how Portable threatened other nominees in the same categories as himself in May 2022 if he did not win?
We regret to announce that following several incriminating admissions made by Mr. Habeeb Okikiola, also known as “Portable,” and the The Headies organizers have decided to reject Mr. Okikiola as a nominee at the upcoming 15 Headies Awards due to Mr. Okikiola’s constant unfavorable attention from the Nigeria Police and the general public in recent times.

A number of offenses Mr. Okikiola committed on his social media platforms have contributed to the decision to disqualify him. On May 25, 2022, he threatened to kill, hurt, or otherwise negatively affect the other nominees in the very same award categories for which he was nominated.
The singer was nominated in the ‘Rookie of the Year’ and ‘Best Street-Hop Artiste’ categories.
