”They are hungry” – DJ Neptune speaks on why he loves working with Rema, Omah Lay

Ace Nigerian Disk Jockey and producer, DJ Neptune has showered praises on young music acts like Rema and Omah Lay.

In an interview with Audiomack, the DJ was asked why he prefers working with the younger talents like Lojay, Omah Lay and Rema.

In response, Neptune, who was called out by Rema in December last year, explained that they have the talent to take Afrobeats to the next level, with a hunger and passion which he likes.

“They are hungry and I like that. There is also love and unity among them. They have the talent to take Afrobeats to the next level. We need to go together as a force. If we go together as a force then it is easy for us to conquer the world together.

They came in at the right time when Afrobeats is really blowing up fast on the global level, so that means more money for them,” he said.

On how he was able to sustain his fame for 20 years plus, he said;

“For me, it is just about staying focused, staying hungry, and being professional. Also if you don’t have God’s grace with you, it almost feels like you are wasting your time.”
